JAK2 driver mutations

JAK2 driver mutations

Janus kinase 2( JAK2) is essential for cytokine and growth factor signaling and plays a central role in the hyperproliferation of hematopoietic cells in MPN. Cells with  JAK2 mutations have increased survival and proliferation capabilities. The most frequent mutation observed in MPN is  JAK2V617F mutation, which results in ligand-independent proliferation, and is one of the key drivers of MPN pathogenesis.
